Drugs and youth
Drug abuse has been a major problem among people especially children. Drugs have contributed too many antisocial behaviors among children and youths in the United States. Methods of intervention and assisting those drug users from the brink of being useless characters in the society needs to be in place to assist the young generation from drugs.
Drugs have contributed to suicidal attempts others have had mental depression while others have had aggressive behaviors with antisocial disorders. Among teenage in the US there is a high number of teenagers who are involved in drug abuse while others have committed crimes under the influence of drugs. The issue of drug abuse is a major problem requiring an intensive approach toward sorting out the problem. There are many factors that contribute to the youths in abusing drugs substances, some of the factors that have been cited by researchers include: family history, if the family history is known to be chronic substance abusers definitely such family you will expect the children to be part of the team. There is also the issue of beers influence where people start using drugs after being influenced by there friends and other peer members. Depression has been another cited factor that contributes to drug abuse and course violence.
As mentioned the abuse of drugs has many negative society effects ranging from various crimes to being unwilling to perform any activity. It has been a source of depression especially those who have became absolute addict while others have become maladjusted in the society, the worst part of drug abuse is being violent and causing death.
Therefore intervention methods that are being used currently such as outpatients and inpatients substance abuse treatment, school based prrogrammes, juvenile court system and police department, community and church based programme, support group therapy, and influential talks has worked in drug rehabilitation
Statement and background of the problem
Drug abuse has been a source of concern to many people from the government to the family members it has led to many healthy care issues among members of the society while the present America today there is a high number of children neglected and abused by drug users.
Drug users have in the past caused major problems such as killing there children or neglecting there children an attended while they have been addicted. Most armed criminals in this country happen to be users of drugs. This means that drugs have a correlation in the increase of crime in the country. In a nutshell drugs have contributed to many social and antisocial activities which have contributed to various of many social fibers in the activities of our society. The issue on how to deal with this drug abuse business has become a very important aspect in our society.
