Tenerife Nightlife Exposed

Millions of tourists visit Tenerife, one of the most well-known holiday destinations in Europe, every year. Because a night or two painting the town red is an important part of most visitor’s holidays, nightlife in Tenerife is bustling and full of variety. When the sun goes down, Tenerife nightlife doesn’t stop until it rises again.

After a demanding day on the beach followed by a relaxed supper, nobody wants to go immediately to bed when they are on holiday. Countless visitors will have squirrelled away their savings for months in order to spend freely on their holidays. With purses full of money, they set forth into the brilliant lights and sounds of Tenerife’s nightlife.

The principal zones to enjoy the island’s nightlife are Playa de Las Americas and Cristianos. Most of Tenerife’s hotels and tourist apartments are situated in these two towns. Every night droves of visitors stream out to experience the delights of Tenerife at night.

As you would expect Playa de las Americas has a large range of bars and nightclubs to appeal to anybody. If you want to keep up with the sports and news from back home, you won’t have a difficulty. There are bars for almost every nationality. Though the most normal bars in Tenerife are Spanish, in the resorts you could be fooled into thinking that every bar is British because they are so prevalent.

With the greatest density of four and five star hotels in Spain, there are also quite a few chic and elegant bars. Nightlife in Tenerife peaks late at night, and most of these bars only start to get busy at midnight. Locals are liable to also drink and mix at these bars, mostly through the weekends and public holidays. Monkey Beach Bar, B.U.D.A., Magic, Divine and OMM are most likely the most well-known in Tenerife.

At the other end of the scale, inexpensive drinks and karaoke are plentiful. Magicians, hypnotists, quizzes and musicians abound in the bars of Tenerife. Plenty of these bars are very family friendly.

It doesn’t take a soccer event to fill fun pubs and sports bars such as Linekers but when there is one, they can be chock-full. For a night of drinking competitions, loud DJs and a night to get messy, these are great bars. They are the expert choice for a stag night with the chaps or a hen party with the girls).

Tenerife’s clubs do not start getting busy until 2am or three . Though many holidaymakers would have heard of Tramps, this tends to be where only the younger crowd go clubbing. Tramps is situated in the Veronicas / Starco neck of the woods which which has a number of other late night clubs. Most recently opened and more chic nightclubs and bars have situated away from this area which was the established hub of Tenerife’s nightlife, but now have become a little jaded and decrepit.

Celebs, international sportsmen and Page Three models appreciate the high end of Tenerife nightlife at TIBU. Its a magnificent club with private VIP areas. Fire-eaters and dancers, guest DJs and waiters weaving through the crowd carrying magnums of Champagne to the exclusive VIP areas. Whether you reserve a VIP table and bottle service or just have a few drinks at the bar, its a first-rate night out with some potential celebrity spotting as well.

At about six in the morning, the nightclubs wind down just as the cafes are starting a new day. Its time for a robust breakfast and then a day by the sea as you sleep it off and reenergize for one more night out in Tenerife.
