Several Online Packages In Recent Times Promise Techniques For Creating World Wide Web Earnings

The other day some acquaintances of mine (a wedded team) told me that those two had manufactured a product and were hoping that I could give them some ideas on how to do some marketing for it. They didn’t want to tell me what the product was, but it was a physical product that they wanted to sell both online and off. So, I came up with the following list for them…

Get a Google business listing. These are free and can be very effective at driving search traffic on Google.

Start a blog. WordPress blogs are so easy to start (especially using Fantastico that many web hosts offer) and they tend to do pretty well in the organic search results as well.

Related to setting up a blog (or full-fledged website), they should set up an autoresponder (using a service such as Aweber.com) to build a mailing list.

Consider direct mail. Depending on the profit margin of their new product, sending out postcards might be a great idea. My friends could probably them out for about 50 cents each (including mailing list and postage.)

Submit press releases on a regular basis. For just $20, is it easy to have a press release show up on Google News by using the service at WebWire.com.

Consider pay per click advertising at Google Adwords.

Make and submit videos to Youtube. These don’t have to be fancy, they are easy to create, and they get indexed in Google almost immediately. It is a free and easy way to generate more website traffic.

Write and submit articles (much like the one you are reading!). Sure, it takes a bit of time to write it, but once submitted to an article directory it is not usual to get hundreds or thousands of readers over time.

Start an affiliate program. In essence, this couple would pay their sales force a commission when sales are made, but have no expenses up to that point. They could afford to pay a large percentage of the sale to the affiliate as it is a sale they wouldn’t have made otherwise.

Start a joint venture. Maybe my friends can locate another company with a complimentary product that would provide a synergy for both parties.

Radio commercials. This can be expensive, but depending on the product and the pricing, it can work well.

Write a publish a book on the subject. It is easy to get it listed on Amazon.com using their sister-site, CreateSpace.com. Having a book adds an aura of respectability to the business.

Give a seminar. My friends could contact the local Chamber of Commerce and set up a time to provide free and helpful information to local business owners.

These are just a few of the suggestions that I gave my friends for marketing their new product. Hopefully, you will find it as useful as they did.
