You will probably need to wear your medical scrubs for a while and there is a strong possibility that they will get a little dirty while you’re on the job. Perhaps the best choice in material would be a combination of polymers and cotton because it is strong and offers comfort. Don’t choose an overly synthetic material that causes you discomfort in any way.

Don’t buy something that is too big or too small as you will be knocking the image of professionalism right into the ground. Your scrubs need to fit you properly so that you look and feel confident while you are on the job. Patients can sense a bad attitude or poor body image in their doctors and nurses, so you need to make sure that you make them feel comfortable.
Consider the medical department in which you work before selecting a medical or nursing uniform. Working in the pediatric department, for example, means that bright colors or cartoons are in order while working in a rehabilitation facility requires more light and calming colors. A medical uniform should always reflect the standards and atmosphere of the facility in which the staff member works.
