A watch designer with a degree in art history and French literature, Loosli faced the challenge of recreating the mechanical watches with Auguste Reymond designs in mind. Within two years of assuming the responsibility, Loosli designed an original and exhilarating collection of Auguste Reymond timepieces, featuring superior mechanical timepieces with extremely competitive pricing. The collection was a perfect marriage between the design and movement of the past with new and fresh looks and the mechanical expertise of today.
Following the momentum, Auguste Reymond continued to enhance already impressive timepieces with such complications as an automatic alarm wristwatch, a regulator and a pocket watch with quarter repeater. These concepts were an assertion of the talent and advancements in watchmaking that go hand in hand with the Auguste Reymond name. The old unitas calibers have also been restored and used for some of the more recent Auguste Reymond collections, including the Evergreen, In The Mood and Ballad models. Each of these elegant collections are individually numbered and produced in limited quantities.
Within the last thirteen years, the modest Tramelan company has reaffirmed its status among the most prominent Swiss watch brands. The new Auguste Reymond collections are all tributes to jazz music and have become well-known to watch connoisseurs and aficionados around the world.
