Syba SY-NBK68002 Silent Giant Laptop Cooling Pad – Also For Notebook Cooling

The first thing that strikes me about this Syba SY-NBK68002 Silent Giant 7-Inch Fan Laptop computer / Pocket book Cooling Pad, (what a mouthful!), is its big fan. In an electronics market full of laptop cooler pads many of which have little fans positioned at both side of their unit, Syba decided to go one other route.

Taking the highway less traveled has paid off. They designed their cooling pad with a fan that takes up over three quarters of the surface of the unit. That means irrespective of where the “sizzling spot” is in your laptop computer this fan will likely be underneath it. A large fan floor means a wider space of ventilation. A wider area of ventilation means a cooler laptop.

Now, due to the scale of this fan, (7 inches), you’d assume that this unit makes enough noise to shake you off your office chair. Fortuitously, you would be very wrong. This unit is lifeless quiet! The fan runs at 20-24db which is less noise than most pc CPU fans. It is a massive bonus if you happen to work in locations that require silence resembling a library or in class.

I have to say that for the tiny price tag this Syba SY-NBK68002 Fan Cooling Pad is a bargain. I mean, for just over ten bucks you get an unit that perhaps isn’t good however does precisely what it’s imagined to and does it properly too!

One other added feature to the fan system is speed. The fan pace is usually round 750 RPM but will regulate routinely relying on the temperature of the laptop. So, as soon as the cooler pad has helped drop the temperature of the laptop its fan drops down in speed slightly to maintain the cooling.

So we can now see that having an enormous fan on the centre of a cooling system can do wonders however as with all good issues perfection is still a distance away. What I’m talking about is how the underside of the unit is left open. This means that you must be careful the place you place the pad while the fan is on. I do not know why Syba decided to leave the underneath open. To anyone that uses their lap as a base, this will be seen as a serious flaw within the unit.

With the fan exposed the bottom is open, so if you happen to set it instantly on your lap or different comfortable surface, the fan will press in opposition to your leg instead of spinning. You could use a tough surface, even if it just a large guide or piece of cardboard.

This is not a cooler pad for these of you who work off your lap or on the sofa etc. This is strictly a strong surface work station. I’d say this has one thing to do with the low price but to inform you the reality I’d pay an additional ten bucks for this laptop cooler pad if it had an enclosed fan.

In case you are not very techno minded then no want to worry as it is an easy plug ‘n’ play unit that doesn’t require any set up software or drivers; all you need is a free USB port. There is no on/off switch, though unplugging an USB from a laptop computer is not probably the most tough of issues to do.
