Bioenergy is the way to go
Bio Energy really is the way forward as our planet is suffering from our greed and intense use of fossil fuels such as oil and gas, electricity and coal so we have to find another renewable source of energy to provide our energy now and in the future.
Our current traditional resources of fuel are running out and damaging the environment and this is why there is so much investment into finding new ways to provide our energy for everyday life, such as heating and lighting and running our vehicles.
Research and investments have gone into the development of alternative fuels for our everyday transport from cars to freight and for some years now the race has been on between the big car manufacturers to come up with the ultimate low cost high efficiency car that people could afford.
The truth is we have to do something as we simply cannot carry on in this way indefinitely or there will be nothing left. The icepacks are melting, sea levels are getting higher each year and rivers are bursting their banks, question is, is it down to us alone or is a lot of it a natural progression?
Either way we have to step in and do something as our current resources are becoming depleted, just look at the coal industry, the oil fields are drying up and the damage they caused to the environment when they are used is no longer acceptable. So what exactly is Biomass?
Basically, Biomass is a renewable energy source of biological materials that have derived from the living or recently living organisms such as from plants, vegetable and animal based materials but also arable crop residues such as straw or husks, trees, agriculture, poultry litter, animal manures and slurries.
Bio Energy basically means the energy that has come from an organic material.
Whether we like it or not, our planet is suffering from our greed and intense use of fossil fuels and this is why we are investing heavily into alternative energy sources for everyday living. Natural Biomass products can come from plants, vegetable and animal based materials, arable crops such as straw or husks, trees, agriculture, poultry litter, animal manures and slurries.
There has been much research into both the production and the potential of using bio energy as an energy source and a fuel in the hope that one day it could possibly replace the use of gas and oil as an energy source.
Increasingly these days more and more farmers are being enticed with quite lucrative incentives for them to offer their land up for the growing of renewable energy crops although some traditional crops such as wheat and oilseed rape can be used for the production of bio energy.
To get at this energy from the plant material it has to be processed biologically, thermally or mechanically. A lot of people these days are considering the possibility of growing energy crops, and many farmers now are looking to use renewable energy on their farms.
There is a lot of information on these subjects and related information about the latest politics in bio energy, bio fuel news and other features on all aspects of energy agriculture.
