Amber, red, white, Blue LED Lights almost a rainbow of LED’s so pick your color
Do you know what Blue LED lights are, or any other color LED’s for that matter. LED stands for Light Emitting Diode, which sounds pretty high tech and space age. In fact, LED lighting has been with us for some time, its only now it’s come down some in price it’s becoming more popular.
You may wonder about the uses of Blue LED lights. I have some Christmas lights, which are blue LED lights, and you probably have to. LED light is cheap to run. There are no filaments to burn out, and they are very bright and come in a huge range of colors. What’s not to like about LED lighting! One of the common uses for Blue LED lights is on emergency vehicles. From a single LED strobe light to a tiered bank of LED light bars, most emergency response vehicles have some form of LED lighting. It really doesn’t matter what kind of emergency vehicle it is but they must have some kind of hazard or emergency warning light.
There are a variety of colors of LED lights, and many light bar units have red, white and Blue LED lights in them. The main benefit of LED lighting is it is very visible in all lights, from bright sunlight to poor visibility due to weather and no street lighting. Any emergency vehicle needs to be seen whether it is moving at speed or stationary and that is why they must have lighting. Without lighting, a stationary vehicle is an extreme hazard to other road users. Certainly flashing Blue LED lights are hard to miss when you see one in your rear view mirror or up ahead on the road.
If you do see Blue LED lights flashing, it’s sure to mean there is a hazard, danger, accident or incident that has needed the attendance of a first response emergency vehicle. Sirens and flashing Blue LED lights are a damn good indication of something serious happening in the vicinity. Ignore a flashing Blue light at your peril. You could end up with a hefty fine and points on your license if you don’t adhere to any ‘Move Over’ law your state has. Believe me, you won’t ignore any flashing light more than once.
Our highways and city streets are very dangerous places and the job our emergency first responders do is a dangerous, and often thankless task. Flashing Blue LED lights are a way to protect those personnel and Joe public. They warn of stationary vehicles and hazard and they ensure we are aware that something is going on that needs their attention. It’s fair to say you probably haven’t given much thought to the job our police, firefighters and Emergency medical teams do, but you should.
We don’t ever like to think of ourselves being involved in any kind of incident that needs police, fire fighters or medical help. The sad fact is that a high percentage of us at sometime in our lives will need their assistance. In such a situation we will want the help there with us at the earliest opportunity, and those flashing red, white and Blue LED lights will assist their passage to us at the utmost speed. Whatever color LED light you see, take heed and obey any law or instruction in place in your state.
