Conferences Held In Las Vegas In The 21st Century
This paper is an overview of three great conferences which were held in Les Vegas from the year two thousand up to the present. There have been several conferences which have taken place in Les Vegas from the start of the twenty first century but this paper takes only to give an overview of only three conferences. The paper categorizes the conferences into three and each category will have one example of a conference under it discussed in details in order to show its economic significance. The three categories include; conferences on international Economic Issues, Conferences on macro- Economics or National Economics and Lastly Conferences on Microeconomics.
The International Energy Foundation –Energex Conference
First of all we shall pick up a major conference that touches on international economics and elaborate on its impact on economics. The Energex international energy forum conference held on Las Vegas in the year 2000 is one of the most remarkable international conferences of international economic importance. The international Energy Foundation has its history all the way from the year nineteen seventy nine when need arose to allow members of the international community to air their views with regards to the conservation, production and use of energy . The first conference was held in Regina in Canada in the year 1982 and fifty countries attended this forum and suggested other forums to be formed and held.
In the year nineteen eighty four the second international Conference was held once again in Regina Canada. In that year sixty member countries attended and they suggested more and more conferences to be held globally. After the second conference, many other conferences have been held in many regions and countries of the world.
The Board of Directors soon realized that as the Foundation grew and developed it was necessary to have regional offices to house its headquarters in order to effectively coordinate, cooperate and communicate with a broad based membership from the intellectual world, industrialists, and government officials. This kind of management would enable the energy movement a chance to have enough regional contributions on issues regarding energy as they unfolded at the seminars, symposia or conferences.
Resolutions at the Las Vegas Energex Conference
The conference held in Las Vegas in the year 2000 made several resolutions among them being that a three hundred acre of green Energy Park which should be under the jurisdiction of University of Nevada. It was also resolved that member country governments and there respective industrial sectors in the entire world to be asked to lend an enabling hand through logistical and financial support.
