After you have developed a positive perception towards changing yourself, the next thing to do is to visualize. Create mental images of yourself being confident when conversing with others, during meetings, and social gatherings. These visual images will be embedded in your subconscious and will increase your chances of achieving your goal.

Last but not least is taking ACTION. You now have the right mindset and attitude, the next step of the development is to actually take action. This is where you get to practice and develop your self confidence. You will no longer afraid of speaking up or talking with people. You will take all the necessary actions to success.
