Do You Need Shower Water Filters?
So you probably know that you should have water filters on the taps in your home that you are going to be drinking out of, but what about your shower heads? Many people wonder whether or not they should have shower water filters, so this is definitely a subject that is up for debate. Well there are a few things to think about when you are trying to figure out whether you should get shower water filters or not.
The Purpose
So although you will obviously not be drinking the water from your shower, you do have to realize that when the water coming from your shower is not filtered, you are getting all the same chemicals and byproducts in your hair and on your body that you are wanting to avoid.
Just because you are not drinking the water that does not mean that it cannot do any damage. If you get a shower water filter you will almost immediately notice the difference because you will feel much cleaner when you are getting out of the shower and will even see the difference because there will not be as much scum on you.
Shower water filters are designed to remove chlorine as well as other harmful synthetic chemicals and VOCs from showering water and they typically attach directly to the shower faucet outlet, so they are very easy to put on and there is no serious installation process involved.
Shower water filters are really great but bear in mind that just as with the other water filters in your home, you are going to need to get replacement filters when the old ones are worn. This means that you are going to end up spending quite a bit of money in the long run on shower water filters, but it will be well worth it for the results that you will be getting in return.
If you have decided that you would like to feel better after your showers and want to get shower water filters, it is now just a matter of choosing the right ones. You want to find a shower water filter that is going to be large and powerful enough that you can get soap out of your hair, and one that is going to fit nicely into your available budget.
After all, if you only have a bit of extra money to spend each month you are not going to want to go all out and get a super expensive, luxurious shower water filter that has replacement filters that are too expensive.Instead you would more want to stick with a faucet mounted water filter that is going to cleanse the water at the point of source, as the tap water is running through it.
Replacements
You should also always have a set of replacements for your Pur water filter on hand. This way when you see that the filter has run out you will have a replacement right there to put in and won’t have to worry about rushing out to the store to get one and can always have fresh drinking water for drinking and cooking for you and your family.
