The Get Ripped Workout

There are two different types of exercise best suited for burning fat stores and building muscle. The critical pair of exercises are weight lifting and cardiovascular exertion the?get ripped workout achieves all of this.?

By lifting weights, it will be possible to build muscle and develop additional strength. Although cardio mainly helps the body shed fat, it will also assist your muscle building efforts.?

Weight lifting is generally done by completing either isolation or compound movements.?

The benefits of compound movements include their ability to engage several larger muscle groups, which in turn spurs additional production of testosterone and human growth hormone (HGH). Testosterone aids in muscle growth, while HGH builds muscle and also aids in fat burning. Some compound exercises include squats, deadlifts, pull ups, and bench presses.?

The purpose of isolation movements is to work particular muscles, affording them more rigorous use. Examples of isolation exercises include the shoulder fly, tricep extentions, bicep curls, and the like.?

In order to achieve a “ripped” appearance, both types of exercises are necessary. By performing just compound exercises, your body will develop a huge muscle mass on the legs and butt. On the other hand, if you only focus on isolation exercises, you’ll be growing at a much slower rate.?
The second part of the?get ripped workout is aerobic exercises. The other form of exercise is aerobic exercise or ‘cardio’, which includes swimming, running, biking, etc… This will help you burn fat, but the type that we will be doing will also promote your body’s HGH production and this helps you build muscle and burn fat. The type of cardio that will help you achieve this is ‘High Intensity Interval Training’.?

The muscles are comprised of three kinds of fibers. They are:?

1. Slow twitch?
2. Fast twitch?
3. Super fast twitch?

Making certain that all three types are utilized in your exercise regimens helps with increasing the production of HGH. High Intensity Interval Training does precisely that. It is a combination of different intensities such as power walking, jogging, and sprinting.?

The following is a sample routine:?
1. Warm up with a power walk on the treadmill. Remember your speed setting because this is the speed you will be returning to after each interval. Continue warming up for 5-10 minutes.

2. Raise the speed to a jog for the next 30 seconds.

3. For the following fifteen seconds, increase your speed and run as fast as possible (sprint).

4. Return to the power walk speed for 60 seconds.

5. An interval consists of steps 2-4. Each interval should be repeated for a total of eight times.

Anytime you begin a new exercise routine, start slowly and gain intensity gradually. The last thing you want is to sustain an injury and have that stop your workouts. The last thing want is to be injured on the?get ripped workout.
