Brick patio pavers make a very neat and comfy looking path woven like a basket or any other designs as desired by the paver. It is not very difficult to lay a perfectly uniformed patio construction using brick pavers. It requires skill, determination and a few hand tools with enough of expert instruction on step by step methods. To arrive at a perfect and strong construction it is always good to seek the advice of a skilled mason. However, if you have an idea and you are interested in doing this job there could be nothing difficult and impossible.

The purpose of employing a mason is to know the appropriate measurements and the art of laying the brick pavers accurately bring out a beautiful design without bumps and gaps. If not tightly packed while constructing all pavers have the tendency to spread after some time making it look ugly or even fall off. Brick patio pavers are held together using rebar pins and special fasteners that connect them strongly.

The first decision when opting for landscape pavers or patio construction using brick is whether to use fine grained concrete brick or standard clay brick. Brick patio pavers are available mostly in rectangular shapes in varying thicknesses and colors and a few more shapes to choose from. They serve the best option for mortar less concrete driveway pavers.

There are many options in building brick or concrete driveway pavers. Brick pavers are flexible and easy to manage; they can be replaced without damaging the entire construction or design. One option of patio construction is the compact sand or crushed stone where the brick pavers are closely butted together using sand or stone. This allows enough flexibility to remove or add bricks wherever necessary.

The other option could be a bit difficult but has longevity better than the first option. In this process crushed stone base is topped with concrete slab of 4″ thick. After the slabs are cured the brick patio pavers are pressed into this filling mortar between the slab and the paver to a depth of ½ an inch. This would keep it firm and strong resulting in very durable and long lasting concrete driveway pavers.

To prepare the site for the brick landscape pavers, one should use stretching string and batter boards. Carefully following instructions the path that is to be paved should be measured and marked leaving enough marking out of the paving area so you will not lose the marking as you fill up the entire space with brick patio pavers.

After following these instructions carefully and the entire set of brick patio pavers are put in place a garden sprayer or a paint roller can be used to apply clear masonry over the pavers to give it a gloss and make it less porous and stain resistant. By applying this masonry the patio construction lasts longer taking on any weather conditions. Laying brick pavers could be a onetime investment if it is done meticulously and with enough skill.
