You Have a Mononucleosis Recurrence
What to do if You Have a Mononucleosis Recurrence
Dealing with mono is never fun, but what if you happen to get it time and time again? A mononucleosis recurrence is considered to be when you contract mono more than once in a few months. You are not supposed to have a mononucleosis recurrence, especially not that often, and this is why anyone that notices they have a mononucleosis recurrence on a regular basis is going to need to get in and see their doctor right away.
Why Does This Happen?
There are a few possible explanations for why you are dealing with a recurrence. For one thing, you may be having a mononucleosis recurrence because you do not have a strong immune system. There are some people who are just born with an immune system that is weaker than most, and then there are others who just do not eat healthily or otherwise do not live a healthy lifestyle, and in turn their immune system is weakened.
Whatever the case may be, there are ways to deal with this and which will hopefully result in you staying mono free in the future. For one thing, you can stock up on fresh fruit and veggies because when you are eating these foods, you are working to strengthen your immune system and not only that but your health in general is going to improve.
Another tip if you find that you tend to have a mononucleosis recurrence is that you should talk to your doctor because they will probably want to run a few tests on you to make sure that there is nothing more serious at play here. Often times when a virus or disease recurs, it is the body’s way of showing that there is something much more serious at play here and so you will definitely want to get this thought out of your mind.
Make sure that you let your doctor know everything that is going on, because this is the only way that they are going to be able to really help you here and make sure that you are doing everything you need to, in order to avoid the recurrence of mononucleosis yet again. This is not an especially dangerous virus in any way, but you do have to be aware that when left untreated, there can be some problematic long term effects. To avoid this, do what you can to prevent yourself from contracting the disease in the first place.
