Ideas To Keep Yourself Cool Every Summer
Summer is a great time to head down the beach and get the tan you want. It is also a time when the weather can be scorching hot. And just as when you are turning the air conditioning on at full, you begin to worry about your electric bill.
You try to use the electric fan but it would still cost you. So, how do you get to cool off from the summer heat without costing you too much?
What you do not know is that there are still a lot of ways for you to cool off even without using any form of electricity. You can do so by soaking your old t-shirt off with cold water. Then, squeeze the excess water out and put it on. The cool water will help you cool off and if it dries up, dip it into the cool water again. You can repeat this as many times as you want.
Some fabrics tend to be very hot for your body. Polyester brings in a lot of heat to your body so you better discard them on a hot day. Wear cotton instead. Light colors also tend to deflect heat so wear light colored clothes.
You can also close the curtains during the hot weather to prevent the heat from getting inside your home. This will also keep the coolness inside from getting out. This is the perfect time for you to strip down to your underwear and cool off.
Fans are also a great way to beat the summer heat. Even with the air conditioning on, it will add more coolness to the overall temperature of your home. Try putting frozen bottles wrapped in a moist towel and place them near you and turn the fans on. This will provide instant coolness.
You can also lower your body heat by taking a nice cold bath. To make the effects last, try putting on some mint body-wash while you are at it. The menthol will help keep you fresh and cool for a couple of hours.
So, even if you are not using your air conditioning system, you can still beat the summer weather with simple techniques.
