Malignant Neoplasm is the other name for Cancer.. Invading in adjacent tissues or spreading of uncontrolled growth of cells in the body from one part to another.This metastasis makes it even more dangerous.Most important is diagnosis of cancer at an early stage. Treatment becomes difficult when at later stages and is easy and cure during at early stage. It is known to be one of the most dreaded diseases because of the high mortality and morbidity rates.
Different categories of cancer are carcinoma,Sarcoma, Leukemia and Lymphome.Growth of the epithelial cells is malignant which is Carcinoma.Body parts are effected by Oesophagus,colon, nose, prostrate, urinary bladder, ureter etc.Parts which are affected, depends on the symptoms.For example, in case of the esophageal carcinoma, the main symptoms are weight loss and dysphagia.
Bone, muscle, fat,fibrous tissue or cartilage is the type of tumour of Sarcoma.Sarcoma’s symptoms are pain, fever and swelling at effected site. Sarcomas common types are Kaposi and Ewing.
Cancer in blood is leukemia. In this, there is especially white blood cells which are abnormal. Normal functioning is not possible. Leukemia symptoms are fever, chills, weakness, loss of appetite, weight loss, petechiae under skin, bleeding gums, bone pain, sweating at night etc.
Lymphoma acts as the filter system of the body.The most common type of lymphoma is Hodgkin’s disease. On skin, fever, night sweats, painless swelling of lymph nodes, itching of skin, constant fatigue, weight loss, red patches etc are the symptoms.
The common cancers on the basis of body parts affected are Breast Cancer, Colon cancer, Lung cancer and Prostrate cancer.In the age group of 45-55, breast cancer is more common in females than males. Basis of this type of cancer is diagonised in the shape,color or texture of the breast or nipple. If anyone notices this, a physician should be contacted as early as possible. In the breast, itching, increases sensitivity, burning, pain etc are the common symptoms.
Main suspection would be bleeding from the rectum is the Colon Cancer.The color of the blood indicates the position of the tumour in the colon. Bowel habits change like heavy diarrhoea or constipation.Including other symptoms like fatigue, weakness, loss of appetite & weight, vomiting, nausea, morning sickness, pain in rectum etc.
Then comes the Lung cancer,It is more common in males.Cigarette smoking is the high risk factor.Cough, bleeding with cough, pain in chest, difficulty in breathing, loss of weight, fatigue, hoarseness or loss of voice, respiratory infection like bronchitis, swelling of fingertips etc are the common symptoms of lung cancer.Metastasis is very common in case of lung cancer. More effected parts are bones, liver, adrenal gland etc.
