Concord, since its foundation in Biel, Switzerland, has long enjoyed a good reputation for its coordinating exterior and function.
In 1915, Concord started OEM business for several well – known watch and clock companies, such as Tiffany&Co and Cartier, in which products, extremely luxury, are made of Platinum and decorated with diamond, emerald, ruby and sapphire. As a result, Concord began drawing people’s attention with its fine watches. In the early 20th century, Concord, with its alarm clock making up the large majority of the market, became a pioneer in the horological bound. In fact, its alarm clock was the first carriable spring clock. Due to its popularity, President Harry S. Truman would present one to various heads of state who attended the Potsdam Conference. And one of these alarm clocks, owned by Truman, is now stored at the Missouri Independent Library. Meanwhile, the design of the Concord wrist watch had become a model among the modern ones. The Concord gold and stainless steel watches were extremely salable in the market like the US Army and Navy. Moreover,attracting numerous gem manufacturers, it became the major supplier of the high – quality movements. Successfully creating the new covered products, it constituted a glorious page in history for its wonderful watches till the end of the World War Two.
By the late 1930s, Concord shifted the emphasis to the mini – sized products. As a result of its perseverance, it achieved its goal of launching the thinnest product – Delirium to the whole world in one short decade. And this outstanding creation soon became a global focus for it was the first one with a thickness of not more than 2MM. Undoubtedly, the manufacturing engineering it represented completely embodied its technology. What’s more, just two years later, another Delirium, with a thickness of 0.98MM, came into being, creating another miracle. The following decades Concord has devoted itself to the manufacture of the high – end products, which combine perfect outline, precise movement and luxury decoration, such as the MarinerVCentenario displayed in the 1992 European Watch &Clock Fair, the 1995 SaratogaExor which is unique for combining the excellent craft and bright gem and the 1996 SaratogaSL collection.
