Many parents are surprised to find that their toddlers are not the perfect angels that they expected them to be. Taking care of a toddler, especially if it is your first time, can be one of the most difficult tasks that you ever try to do. Studies have shown that positive praise and attention helps encourage your toddler to follow the rules you set for him because it reassures him that you love him. Nurturing a toddler’s personality can really help her build confidence. This means making her play with a challenging toy instead of letting her get bored.

But always remember that a toddler will make many mistakes and that your job is to teach, not just punish.
