My Trysts With Compaq Support

It’s been a year into college, and I love every moment of it. Moving out of my parent’s home was the wisest decision that I had taken. Distance does make the heart grow fonder, and I do miss my folks. But living alone has taught me some really valuable lessons about managing myself. Independence comes with its share of responsibilities, and I feel glad that I have been able to live up to it. I enjoy doing the household chores as much as I enjoy working on my college assignments. I put my Compaq laptop to good use; creating and maintaining a list of all important tasks to be done on the system. I also use it to stay connected to my family and friends back home via instant messenger, and video calls. The laptop, a gift that I hold close to my heart, was given to me by my boyfriend, Andrew, on my last birthday.

Andy and I often end up spending a lot of time working on my Compaq laptop, as we help each other with our college assignments. We reserve the weekend for watching movies, and have over time built a huge collection of DVDs. We enjoy watching romantic movies together. It was Andy’s birthday last week, and I wanted to give him a nice surprise, and gave him a DVD of his favorite movie- Amélie. He had often commented that we should watch the movie together on a special day. I was really looking forward to spend the evening with him, and had everything planned out nicely. “Nothing could possibly go wrong”, I had thought to myself. But unfortunately, something happened that threatened to spoil our evening and our mood. Andy was overjoyed to see his gift, and took no time to start my Compaq laptop to try and play the DVD on it. But there seemed to be something wrong with the laptop, as he was unable to play the DVD. We knew that expert tech support was required to resolve the issue.

We called them up on their toll free number, and got in touch with one of their friendly technicians. He figured out that I had installed an incompatible driver with my machine, which was causing the problem. The technician helped us to find, download, and install a compatible DVD driver, and we felt thankful for the Compaq support that he provided to us for a small fee. It was indeed a pleasure interacting with their tech person. Finally, we were able to play Amélie on the laptop and spend a romantic evening together.
