American Rebel Against Britain
The Americans were justified in waging war and breaking away from Britain because of unjust laws made colonists to have justification in starting a war and finally breaking away from the British.
Tyrannical king, officials working on behalf of the British and violating searches prompted outrage amongst the citizens in so many ways that resulted to their unity and rebellion against the British. The unity and coming together of colonists lead to the war of revolutionary. The first opposition block was the imposition of several unjust laws. As stipulated in Document 2 the Americans had the belief that Britain had many rights including the imposition of laws in regulation of trade but Stamp Act introduction emerged to be solely geared towards gaining revenue. The Stamp Act mostly had an effect on lawyers, editors, merchants and the citizens at large.
The colonists hoped to have a respectful leader who could put the prosperity and welfare of people at the forefront but instead they were submerged under the rule of a cruel person who had no care about them. This together with the Stamp Act motivated different American colonies in coming together as a unit solely to rebel against Britain and her king. The colonists also had a feeling that their private life was in a way offended and the treatment they were was inhumane. An intolerable and cruel king oppressed the Americans. Over a period of time as stated in Document 7, there were several occurrences of injuries and unlawful seizures.
Once, the American people who were out to liberate their country applied mob violence in forcing all the stamp agents in resigning and repealing of the Stamp Act .The parliamentarians asserted their rights by passing the Declatory Act. When colonists petitioned for fresh look into the problems in humble ways the outcome was more oppression and more injury. A document owing its excerpts from a pamphlet by Thomas Paine entitled Common Sense had a convincing message to many Americans that the only way to resolving the conflicts between America and England was through independence. Document number 5 also infers that the imposition of taxes and unfair laws on the Americans was duly enforced by the tyrannical rule of angry British officials who held seizures and violating searches.
The period between 1792 and 1824 is referred to as First Party System by historians and political scientists and it generally describes the political system that existed in America in that period. Only two national parties were prominent and which were in constant competition for control of the presidential mantle, the congress and states.
The end of the first party system signaled the splitting of Democratic-Republican Party (1824-1826) that is the Jacksonian faction, which in modern day became the Democratic Party and the Henry Clay faction which got swallowed by Whig Party.
