Getting to Philip Island

Phillip Island is roughly 2 hours drive from Melbourne. The leisurely coastal route can be taken and visitors can go across to the island via the San Remo bridge, just off of the Bass Highway to the east of Melbourne. Alternatively, the island can be accessed via ferry. To reach the ferry, travel along the Mornington Peninsula to Stony Point. The ferry crosses here to reach Cowes on the coast of the island. If you prefer to travel by bus or coach, there are also regular buses that travel these routes taking visitors from Melbourne to Phillip Island.
