For weeks now I have been giving the readers here at myMusicCircle some insight into things. I have also instigated some controversy with some comments and ideas. Some of you have been happy and some of you have been upset. But all of you took something away from what was written. As human beings we are all full of thoughts, opinions and ideals that have built up in us from a lifetime of experiences, both good and bad, which make us who we are today. Life is extremely short in the scope of things and we need not waste it by sitting around like gerbils in our cage waiting for our turn on the exercise wheel. We need to stand up and kick that other gerbil off the thing and climb on and rock out to the beat of our own drummer. It is never easy to take the hard road. But it is the best route to travel if you are looking at being true to yourself and to learn something about life and yourself in the process. Lord knows that I am never right, in fact according to my wife , I am never right.She like music and wants to hire musicians. But the thing is that the only way we learn anything and grow as a human is by making mistakes. If we stay stagnated in our little corner and never go outside of the comfort zone we have built around ourselves we would never know the thrill of victory.

So maybe it’s time that all of us get off of our couches and put away the Wii and concentrate on making the future happen today before we all become history.
