Patch Management Software
“What is patch management software, anyway?” That is a question I was asking myself just the other day; I had heard some of my tech career friends mention patch management software just the other day, and they did not want to go in to explaining it to me, so I went home and did some research online and found out all the information I needed. All I had to do was type “patch management software” into the search bar on my web browser window, hit enter, wait a few seconds, and in almost no time, I had all the info I needed to find out more about what patch management software is, exactly. Apparently, it is a way to find out if your system has known holes in its security system. Then, the patch management software finds the solutions (or patches) to these security risks, and neutralizes the risk, which sounds like a pretty handy thing if you have a big important company server. After all, we have all heard the horror stories about internet criminals stealing or damaging important and valuable data, and if that kind of thing can be avoided by a patch management software service, I would guess that that would probably be the better way to go. If you know how to use your web browser and get around on your computer, you can find everything you need to know to educate yourself further about patch management software, because that is about all I know; just the most bare bones about it. My career path did not take me in to the tech field, so I have to say, I am not incredibly concerned with this kind of software, but I am glad to know that I will not be so out of the loop next time I am out for for drinks with my tech career friends!
