Nora’s seemingly innocent date night scandalizes every couple in the Walker family, while Kitty’s new relationship with Seth sparks a flurry of internet gossip and an unexpected reaction by Kitty’s boss. Alongside their mother Nora Holden, Nora’s brother Saul Holden, Sarah’s husband (now ex-husband) Joe Whedon, Tommy’s wife Julia Walker, Kevin’s husband Scotty Wandell and mysterious Holly Harper. And last but not least Rebecca, Holly’s daughter. Who they originally thought was their half sister but later found out they had a half brother, Ryan instead, the Walkers struggle through their everyday lives.
Kevin is upset with some of his family when he learns they have been talking to Scotty behind his back. Kevin is still furious with Scotty for cheating on him and is having a hard time getting past it. We can’t blame him for that!!Paige plots to get Kevin and Scotty together to talk things out. Kevin is less than thrilled to hear from Scotty that he is selfish. Scotty knows he made a mistake and Kevin wishes he could change some things about himself. The two of them show up together for Paige’s debate – it looks like the two are moving forward.
When Justin confronts David he confesses that he had such a hard time trying getting Holly to forget about William after so many years and he finally was getting there – until the accident took all that progress away. Holly doesn’t remember how she felt about him and that’s just too for him. Justin offers to take David to a meeting and thankfully he agrees to go.
Nora is a fan of Dr. Karl West, a talk show host at her station. Dr. Karl is also a fan of Nora’s show. Nora goes on a rant about her kids to Dr. Karl who suggests that it’s unrealistic for her to think that she has the power to solve all their problems. Not what Nora wants to believe.
At a mother/daughter photo shoot to promote Nora’s show Sarah and Kitty bicker until Nora loses it. Nora explains that both girls were always two different people who were guided based one who they “were.” Now they are blaming their mom for who they “are.” Nora realizes that maybe Dr. Karl was right.
Nora cancels the photo shoot and apologizes to Dr. Karl. Dr. Karl asks Nora out for a drink.
