When it comes to losing weight, regular exercise is the key secret to success. Without regular exercise, you have no chance to achieve your weight loss goal or success. But, there is one question regarding exercise that keeps popping up…

What is the best time of a day to exercise? Well, you can exercise anytime but this is not realistic because we all are busy these days. Therefore, we do need to schedule and manage our time so that we can include our exercise routine into our daily schedule. We should also try to figure out what is the best time for us to do exercise that can help us to achieve maximum results. If you can figure out the time for exercise that can benefit your body the most, it could be very useful.

Here are my personal tips and experience regarding the best time of day to exercise to lose or maintain an ideal weight.

Personally, I like to exercise in the early morning. But the downside for this is that you have to discipline yourself to wake up very early in the morning. You also need to make sure that you schedule enough time for your morning exercise before you are going to work. This requires long-term commitment and discipline because waking up in the early morning may not be easy for many of us. But, if you get used to it, you will feel that exercise in the early morning before you start work is the best time.

My personal experience after exercising in the morning for some time is that it really helps to boost my energy and concentration throughout the day. You have to do this on a regular basis of course. I suggest at least 3 times a week. I chose tuesday, thursday and saturday and commit myself to wake up very morning on those days and do exercise. You will feel great if you continue to do this for 6 months to a year. And please stick with it for a long period of time. Believe me, you will thank me if you do that.

If you are not a morning person, you just cannot wake up early in the morning, then I suggest you schedule your time to exercise after work but before your dinner time. For instance, between 17:30 to 19:00 is the best time for exercise. If you exercise after dinner, it could be too late and exercising at night can prevent you to sleep at night.

One or more of these times might work well for you too. The main question to consider is what time of day you typically feel most energetic? If you aren’t a morning person, trying to force yourself to get up early and work out might be a daily battle that you don’t want to fight.

For me personally, I feel most energetic in the early morning and exercise in the early morning helps a great deal to carry me through the day. Another benefit of exercising in the morning is that I don’t need to worry about finding time to do my exercise after work. I can relax and watch my favorite television show in the evening after dinner. I also find that exercise in the morning helps me to sleep better at night.

We all have different schedule so to find the best time of day to exercise, you would have to take a look at your schedule and sort the time out yourself.
