During each game, two contestants work together as a team to beat one of the most difficult challenges of their lives: saving the million-dollar mountain of cash in front of them from disappearing forever. Unlike any other game show, the duo is given their prize money – bundles of real cash totaling $1 million – at the start of the game, and it’s up to them to keep this life-changing cash. Once the question is revealed, the duo must debate and decide the answer(s) on which they will risk all of their money. Are they confident enough to place all of their money on one answer? Or will the relentless pressure cause them play it safe and spread their money across a few answers?

“MILLION DOLLAR MONEY DROP” starts off the opposite of any other game show on television: We give each pair $1 million in cash, and the money is theirs to lose. It is a riveting and dramatic new show that will have viewers on the edge of their seats the entire week,” said Mike Darnell, President of Alternative Entertainment, Fox Broadcasting Company. “Like ?Deal or No Deal,’ “MILLION DOLLAR MONEY DROP” has proven to be a global hit, and we are thrilled to be bringing it to FOX,” said David Goldberg, Chairman of Endemol North America. “In the latest of a long line of innovative and captivating game shows from Endemol, the show is wrought with emotion, and viewers won’t be able to take their eyes off “MILLION DOLLAR MONEY DROP”.

Pollak will next be seen opposite Steve Martin, Jack Black and Owen Wilson in “The Big Year” and in “Red State,” written and directed by Kevin Smith. Pollak hosts an award-winning talk show online at kevinpollakschatshow.com, and his latest one-hour comedy special, “The Littlest Suspect,” was recently released on DVD.Source: FOX TV Currently 0/1012345678910No votes yet.

A team of two people with a pre-existing relationship is presented with $US1,000,000 in $20 bills, banded in bundles of $20,000 (50 bundles = $1,000,000). The team must risk the entire amount on each of seven multiple-choice questions. For each question, the contestants choose one of two categories, then indicate which answer(s) they wish to risk their money on by moving the bundles of cash onto a row of trap doors, each of which corresponds to one answer.

Later, viewers began to dispute the accuracy of the question because of information on the Internet that indicated Post-It Notes were “launched” or “introduced” under the name “Press ‘N Peel” in four cities in 1977, based on an interview with the inventors of the Post-It Note published in the Financial Times. On April 6, 1980, the product debuted in US stores as “Post-It Notes.” The Sony Walkman went on sale in Japan on July 1, 1979, and was later introduced to the US in June 1980.

As a result of new information we have received from 3M, we feel it is only fair to give our contestants, Gabe and Brittany, another shot to play Million Dollar Money Drop even though this question was not the deciding question in their game. The revised information regarding the Post-it is as follows: the product was originally tested for sale in four cities under the name ‘Press ‘N Peel’ in 1977, sold as ‘Post-its’ in 1979 when the rollout introduction began and sold nationwide in 1980.” Losing the $800,000, however, would not have directly impacted the outcome of the game, as the last question (in which the contestants either win or lose the entire remainder of their money) was answered incorrectly. mOn December 28, 2010, Host Kevin Pollak in an interview called “This story is a moot point,” he added. “They never had a chance to win that money. Ever. No matter what.” Also stating “They lost everything on the (last) question. It’s a non-story.” The couple has been invited to compete again.
