2010’s Memorable Scents
The year 2010 has introduced many new perfumes in the market. With the many fresh scents, it is difficult to recollect every single one. However, there are fragrances that stood out from the rest either by virtue of marketing (PR people can be so good that the scent itself becomes secondary), Hollywood factor (celebrity scents were on a roll in 2010) or the quality of the perfume in its core.

In the early part of 2010, Beyonce’s Heat made news. It was the pop diva’s first fragrance under her name. Heat was fabulous hot in terms of gross sales and it was one of the top selling fragrances last year. The epitome of a woman’s powerful sensuality, according to Beyonce, is captured in this floral-fruity scent.
La Prairie Life Threads
Life Threads perfume trio began with fragrances inspired by precious metals: Silver Gold and Platinum. The threads represent the ties women weave during the course of their lifetime. Taking off from the success of the first trio, another set of fragrances was introduced inspired by rare gemstones: Sapphire, Ruby and Emerald. Life Threads now gives ode to the different faces oflove. Beautiful models. Naked. Inspired by the mystical Tarot de Merseilles, D&G offers a delectable line of fragrances featuring top models within the nude. D&G Anthology consists of 5 perfumes represented by a tarot card. The fragrances might not be , hot but the ad campaign is certainly a feast for the eyes. Fashion photographer Mario Testino did a superb job in creating scintillating shots of models Naomi Campbell, Eva Herzigova, Claudia Schiffer, Tyson Ballou, Noah Mills and Fernando Fernandez.
These scents created a media hoopla especially among perfumistas in 2010. These lovely scents are undeniably nose-worthy.
