The magic Of Black Africa

Nairobi is the capital city of Kenya with a population of about 4 million people. Kenya is a country located in eastern part of Africa. It is the largest city in eastern and central Africa and is one of the major economical centers in Africa. It is often referred as ‘the green city in the sand’. It is a city characterized by diversity and rich in culture because it blends people from all walks of life, no wonder it is referred as the magic of Africa. It is festooned with modern skyscrapers, five star hotels, modern shopping malls, leaning centers and efficient transport system but in need of further improvement. It is a modern city with a lot to offer. In this wonderful place, I never get bored because there are always fascinating activities one can engage in.
Nairobi River cuts the city into two halves, Nairobi east and Nairobi west. It has clean cool waters that I usually use to cool myself after a long day of hot sun and exciting. Fishing and swimming are common activities one is likely to encounter in this river. This gives Nairobi a strong a taste of nature. I usually go for shopping in evening hours. I view shopping in Nairobi not as an obligation but as another wonderful opportunity to have fun. Located throughout the city are modern shopping malls, supermarkets, grocery stores and open-air markets which makes shopping here is safe, easy and convenient. I usually buy my shopping from open-air market because the prices here are affordable and negotiable. My shopping usually includes maize flour, rice, beans, vegetables, fruits and occasionally meat. Ugali (a dough prepared from maize flour) is the most common food eaten here. It is usually eaten with beef stew, vegetables stew or fish stew. Fish stew is the most common because we can get fish from Nairobi River without incurring any cost. We usually consume rice twice a week, but ugali remains the staple food.
Night life in Nairobi is very vibrant and exciting; it is as if this city was made for partying. I think it has no match when it comes to offering excellent entertaining opportunities in Africa. Partying has become a central part of Nairobi lifestyle. Our family likes Carnivore restaurant and club, this gigantic night club is well known to all here in Nairobi because of its outstanding entertainment activities. Each night in this club has its theme, my favorite being Rock night on every Wednesday. This cub is both locally and internationally acclaimed. Artists and renowned musicians usually perform in this place. We the Nairobians consider every day of the week a partying day.
Being one of the few cities in the world with a national park, Nairobi offers us an exclusive opportunity to enjoy nature during the weekends. My family usually marks the climax of the week by visiting Nairobi national park. We enjoy watching all sorts of wild animals including the lions, giraffes, gazelles, buffaloes, birds of different kinds and many more.
