Blancpain Leman Alarm GMT

Blancpain Leman Alarm GMT is an exceptional mechanical watch specially designed for men by the talented designer Frederic Piguet. It is animated by an automatic movement with a rotor fashioned in Geneve patterns. It comes with specific functions including a second time zone, alarm and power reserve above the standard hour, minute and small seconds.

This timepiece is available in two variants, including the 18K pink gold case and the white gold case. Here I would give you a brief introduction of the pink gold version.

The pink gold version is encasing in a case measuring at a diameter of 40mm and thickness of 13.5mm, protected by a curved anti-reflective sapphire crystal. The transparent caseback with anti-reflective sapphire crystal decoration also gives free access to admire the highly accurate movement.

On the right side of the watch sets two crowns. The first is placed at 2 o’clock position, allowing winding of the time for the 1st pull and the 2nd pull allows the control of the hour and minute counters. The second crown positioned at 4 o’clock is mainly used to wind the alarm. Sharing the same function is the pushed placed at 8 o’clock position.

The opalin silver dial features engraved bronze Arabic numerals. Around the dial is printed minute track and it frames a skeletonized sword-shaped central hands manufactured of red-gold.

The skeletonized sword-shaped hands are also available in the second time zone counter positioned at 9, double hands alarm at 3 together with small seconds counter placed at 6. Other counters are the sonnerie state at 1 and the sonnerie power reserve at 11. The date display is located between 4 and 5. It is mounted on a crocodile leather strap, secured by a pink gold fold over clasp buckle.
