Who Else Hates Cell Phones
Cell phone are a pain. I mean do you really want to be attached to your cell phone all day long? How great it is when you are trying to relax in the bathroom and go only to have your cell phone go off and startle you. How wonderful it is driving in back of a lady only to have her swerve and put on her breaks and slow down because her cell phone started ringing and you can see her searching her car trying to find it! As the all wise saying goes, the more you make yourself available, the more available everyone will expect you to be. Friends and family will actually get mad at you for not answering your phone once you have a cell phone!
In society today, cell phones are everywhere. People talk on cell phones everywhere which is really annoying. Like waiting in line at the grocery store and the bagger has asked the lady in front of you if she wants paper or plastic but she is too busy having some menial conversation to even hear the guy. Get off your cell phone and answer the bagger and stop holding up the check out line! I hate cell phones.
Cell phone etiquette is getting to be a forgotten concept. You will see people talking on the phone loudly and disturbs people nearby in restaurants and even in offices. I am sure by now, once or twice in a meeting you will notice that when a cell phone rings, almost everyone around will immediately look for their cell phones. If you were the one talking, and then the person in front of you talks on his phone, how would you feel? I am sure you will feel belittled and ignored. Rude practice, and should be changed.
Cell phone users need to learn cell phone etiquette. A cell phone should never be used at work or in public places unless someone is dying or something. I mean how many times have you gone up to a co-worker to talk business and they are talking on their cell phone about a non-business issue and you have to stand there and wait until they are done with their personal conversation? How dare you slow down my productivity at work. Makes me want to go to the boss and complain.
When you are in a place of worship, it may be necessary to leave your cell phone in the house or at least turn it off if you do not want to be away with it. This is because ringing cell phone will not just disturb you while you pray it will also disturb others. You do not need to show off your expensive gadget in a place of worship.
Young guys who are going through their James Dean, rebel without a cause stage, like to ignore the request at the start of a movie to turn off their cell phones. I will never forget one guy who not only had his cell phone ring during the movie, but sat there and talked on it! His phone even had a bright light up panel that could be seen three aisles back! I flicked a piece of popcorn at his head.
If you are traveling on an aircraft then you will be required to turn your cell phone off. This is because your cell phone could interfere with the aircraft’s avionics. On long flights, you are allowed to use your cell phone when the cabin light signals that you can. But once again, a lot of people are confined in a small space on a plane so why would you be so self centered to think that the 5 people sitting around you are going to want to listen to your menial phone conversation? Just keep your phone off.
Cell phone have become to be a necessity nowadays, that is why most people use it and cell phone manufacturers have continuously developed different usage and functions for this very small gadget. Be globally competitive, but you should understand that being rude is not part of modernity. Follow a certain degree of etiquette.
