Animated Sci-Fi Movie
I strongly view that animation delivers serious issue to children in an understandable format. To better illustrate my point of view, I have chosen an animated Sci-Fi movie, Wall-E to explain with examples as much as possible. Though many people view animation movies as just fun stuffs, with no actual content or messages for the children, however, my view is that animated movies and especially Wall-E as an example can be looked at as delivering serious issues to children in a manner which is much appreciated and understandable.
Wall-E is a Sci-Fi animated movie and there is not much talking going on in most parts of the movie. However, contrary to perception it is a very good movie with great opportunity for learning by children.
Wall-E is a Sci-Fi movie as mentioned previously. Wall-E is a great movie; however, this movie employs a rough science foundation portrayal of experience that isn’t automatically accepted conventionally. Examples of Sci-Fi situations in movies are- alien life forms/ alien worlds/time travels frequently with scientific essentials such as innovative space rockets etc/ automaton machines/ or other equipments etc. These kinds of imaginary tale movies have repeatedly been used to make available social observations on political or social issues. They also invariably attempt to discover truth-seeking questions. For example, Wall-E has attempted to show what our world might look like hundreds of years later. However, in many situations the movie maker twists stories from already printed science fiction work and these movie makers can be uninterested in knowing the values of scientific realistic situations and plan reason to which printed science fiction is conventionally held. However, the makers of the movie Wall-E have given plenty of thought in this regard, and all there future projections shown in the movie are well thought of. In fact, in my opinion it could very well be a precursor to what might happen in the future.
Even though science fiction movies are generally tentative in their approach and over and over again comprise of key opinionated element of science and equipments. But, the movie Wall-E is different as it gives clear statements and reasons for all situations happening throughout the movie, which makes the viewers, in this case children, understand exactly what is happening in the movie and associate themselves with the story-line in the movie.
Generally, science fiction movies comprise rudiments of religion/ occult/ the unexplained/ ghostly things etc situations. By doing so, the film transforms into a science fantasy with a spiritual way of life acting as the forceful inspiration. Wall-E is a film having a lot of ordinary science fiction fundamentals; however, the movie has a philosophical communication to make to all children i.e. the development of the human species toward scientific excellence at a later stage in the future. Wall-E shows children that through innovation and technological marvels our specifies can achieve great heights. For example, if the human species had not developed robots and technologies to carry them out to a new and safer planet, the whole human species would have perished to extinction, since Earth had become an in-hospitable location for human living. The movie tries to highlight thinking out-of-the box where applicable and challenge conventional wisdom, as well as not accepting status quo and asking questions to find out more about things on which we have queries. This has been clearly demonstrated throughout the movie by the very many acts of Wall-E, whether it was the act of leaving Earth in search of love, or the captain of the planet (a human) fighting and questioning the wisdom of the machine which controlled the human species.
A movie like Wall-E is special and differs from fantasy movies for children. Though fantasy movies are great fun to watch, it does not offer much learning exposure to children. Unlike, science fiction movies that try to attain children’s conviction in the descriptions they are watching, fantasy movies as an alternative try to alleviate children mistrust of fantasy situations. Fantasy movies can never really happen and making children believe that they are real is an act of deception, and unnecessarily confuses children between the difference between fact and fantasy. Science fiction movies, compared to fantasy movies, have a fairly good chance of becoming reality, since they are broadly based on the laws of science. Wall-E shows the unknown and space invader in the background of the recognizable aspects of human nature. In spite of the alien character of the various parts of the movie and the science fictional basics of the scenery, the descriptions in the movie is connected back to humans and how we communicate to our environment. Even though Wall-E makes every effort to press on the confines of the human knowledge, the movies still stays connected to the circumstances and appreciative of the child audience, and thus, hold a commonplace characteristic, rather than being totally unfamiliar or intangible.
