Religion As A Natural Phenomenon
Religion is a formalized expression of belief. Strong religious beliefs gives birth to faith. Breaking the spell basically means dismantling a curse vested on anyone by another either due to jealousy, in-differences or otherwise. A curse is the calling down of destruction or evil. From time immemorial, religion has been known to provide a comforting aspect to the soul, mind and body. This soothing spect differs a lot depending on individuals and the amount of faith vested. Faith is neither visible nor measurable and can only be instilled through religious teachings especially from the very tender age or through past or present real life experiences. The only sure way to determine the amount of faith one has is by acknowledging facts of what one believes in and how much truth they know and there is about what they believe in. This calling down of destruction or evil invokes some engagement of some invisible forces beyond any human control. These forces then fully take charge of someone and this particular person’s way of life changes drastically and may at times cause death. When a cursed person joins any religious group of, the space that had been either vacant or occupied by bad forces is then emptied and instead (and with the help of Supreme power and support), is filled with hope joy and peace. Anyone who invokes these bad omens on others does not want any good to happen to them. Instead he/she wishes them to have miserable and unfulfilling lives but depending on the beliefs of the cursed person, there is hope of getting out of the curse and this is where true religious beliefs become effective. To be able to dismantle a curse calls for total dedication, endurance , hope and commitment as what one is fighting with is not anything they can see and therefore they need to have a breakthrough to the Supreme Power , God , in this instance , truthfully trust and believe that their needs will be met. To achieve this , they need to communicate to the Supreme Power directly in the form of continuous prayers. All curses are demonic based and therefore only spiritual beliefs can counter-break them. With the aid of others say of the same religious beliefs , one is sure able to break free but not without deliverance prayers. Deliverance prayers are repetitive bible based citations which invokes communication with the Holy Spirit. It’s possible to realize and feel the presence and power of the Holy Spirit as the cursed individual may start shaking continually and may at times fall to the ground motionless and powerless. This invoking of the Holy Spirit ( invisible) when it mingles with the human body ( visible) causes some reaction( cleansing) and this is what causes the falling down. Deliverance prayers are very powerful , faith based and they are recited at the same time , every day for a certain period of time agreed upon by the concerned. They are a sure way of cleansing an individual of the curses and making those individuals presentable and free from any demonic influences. At times, these demonic influences don’t just go and may require some fasting ( going without food for days ) so as to have the Holy Spirit’s intervention. Religion has so much interdependency and control of beliefs to anyone individual and as such caution and research are vital before one joins a certain congregation as this will have a major impact on their entire lives as well. With good religious teachings comes discipline , stewardship , responsibility , commitment and transparency. It’s very easy to follow what one was taught as a child rather than what one learnt as an adult and religion can sure mould and shape ones life. In almost all true and genuine religious teachings, humility is clearly defined and greatly emphasized as this is the beginning of all wisdom to be acquired later. Humility is a virtual that is faith related and enables one to pursue and endure stuff that without it one cannot tolerate. This helps create a responsible society with forgiveness to one another and no need for possible retaliation. On the other hand , there are those cursed ones who seek the assistance of traditional medicine men ( witchdoctors), who depending on their belief and expertise claim to be in possession of some unforeseen powers to communicate with the dead spirits and thus say are able to expel the demonic forces and their influences. This is however considered un-biblical and barbaric depending on who and where the ceremony is being administered. As previously stated , one’s belief is quite crucial when it comes to such like life changing influences as desperation may lead one to the wrongful soul searching faith.
