Prison Break Episodes: Is ‘Breakout Kings’ a Remake?
Whatever the truth be, the producers, being what they are, deny any resemblance whatsoever between the two shows. But what are we to think, when the story of convicts breaking out of prison, convicts on the run, convicts out in the open taking down baddies (in that order) is echoed in two supposedly different shows? What makes us more skeptical is the fact that ‘Breakout Kings’ comes from the people behind Prison Break, thus doubling the possibility that the episodes may bear a striking resemblance!
Nevertheless, it’s been almost two years since Prison Break bid adieu to television, and ‘Breakout Kings’ is on the lineup on A&E for this March. So what did the executive producers have in mind, when they came up with the idea for this new show? We’re guessing that perhaps it dawned upon them that the viewers were craving for a dose of prison life, ever since Prison Break ended. That might be true, considering that almost all Prison Break fans, still watch Prison Break episodes online, whenever they can.
So what is ‘Breakout Kings’ all about? If the producers are to be believed, the show isn’t really about breaking out of prison, unlike the Prison Break episodes. Rather, it tells us what really happens after the convicts break out of prison. In order to take down some of the country’s most infamous fugitives, the government releases a group of convicts to do the dirty job. Now, whether they manage to pull it off or not, can only be said when we get to watch the show. However, one thing to watch out for, is that some of the greatest Prison Break baddies would be appearing on ‘Breakout Kings’, or so suggest online reports!
The last time most of got to watch Prison Break online, we realized that the show gave us some of the meanest baddies on television. Now, it is for us to see whether the baddies of ‘Breakout Kings’ would be bad enough to give their counterparts a run for their money. And as for the claims that two aren’t similar, we have our fingers crossed for some fresh breath of air, outside the prisons!
