Keeping Feet Warm in Winter

The temperature dropped abruptly, people always pat attention to keep  warm, but many people often ignore to keep their feet warm. As the saying goes, “the cold comes from feet”. The subcutaneous fat of feet is very thin and the warmth retention is not good, so the feet’s skin temperature is low in the ordinary course of event. And the adaptability and tolerance for cold is bad. If you are unmindful to keep feet warm, you will catch cold easily. Thus, you should adopt some effective to keep your feet in the best temperature measures when the temperature dropped. For example, you can choose soft thick socks which have thermal insulation qualities. You should also pay attention to keep feet warm when you are in the open air. For example, you can mark time or swing for ten minutes.

Once you can not keep warm properly, the low temperature will stimulate you feet to reduce the blood vessel and the ability of blood to reflow to heart. Besides, if thermal insulation of feet is insufficient, then it may reduce the local resistance. And the germs and virus will break caused cold.

Women who are afraid of cold often have weak constitution. The unsmooth flow of blood and insufficient blood due to the deficiency of Qi and blood can not make body warm to resist the attack of cold. Cold attacks body to injury yang-qi to cause disease, or cause recurrence of an old illness even deterioration. The cold will also affect heart after attacking feet to induce stomachache and irregular menstruation.

Thus, we can take some proper measure to keep feet warm in low temperature.

1. Enhancing taking exercise to make sure the blood supply for feet. Women who often sit or stand for a long time in work can move much intentionally. And they can also do more lumbar exercise to generate heat and increase blood circulation.

2. You must insist on washing the feet with warm water before going to sleep. You can put your feet in warm water for 15-20 minutes before retiring and massage arch at the same time.

3. You should choose suitable shoes, because the shoes which are too close will press the blood vessel on feet greatly to affect the normal blood circulation. For example, the popular snow boots are good choices.

In fact, the health tips are not difficult. The key point is to insist on them for a long time.
