Alternative Energy And Fuel

For many years, world populations have predominantly relied on using bio fuels in mechanical and other machines for daily operations. The advancement in technology and rising economic status has led to enhanced demand for this commodity leading to increase in prices and in some extent, failure to meet the ever increasing demands. To some countries, it has been believed to fuel internal and external conflicts as people compete for this useful commodity. This paper will thus look in-depth on need to make use of other alternatives as means of fuel and will include solar power, biofuels and wind.
Over reliance on fossil fuels, as mentioned earlier has been faced by many challenges and some of them includes inadequate availability of this commodity. It is believed that after many years of using fossil fuel, the reserves will get depleted thus making it difficult to renew this kind of fuel. The rise in technology has made it easier to tap the solar energy which is free of charge and always present in abundant. At no time will sun stop emitting its rays on the earth. The discoveries of solar panels have made it practical to utilize this energy even in the remotest parts of the world. Though initial installation being a bit expensive, the maintenance of the same is extremely cheaper and makes it easier for users to use this form of energy without the fear of huge bills at the end of the month as opposed to fossil fuel. it has also opened an avenue for countries that don’t have fossil fuel as a an income generating commodity to take advantage of solar energy in perform a number of activities that requires power for example in heating services, use of electronics, lighting purposes to mention but a few. A mere understanding of the detrimental effects of fossil fuel to the environment and human beings can make us have a paradigm shift and dedicate our effort to more use of solar energy which is clean and with no side effects. Fossil fuel pollutes the air that we breathe and also plays a major role in global warming. United States for example gets 1 percent of its power from solar
Use Wind energy on the other hand is a very noble idea. It is the high time that we should appreciate that the world population is on the rise and the need for fuel is on the verge of increasing and the need is expected to continue rising since the populace will for sure need the fuel to accomplish the ever increasing need. The energy that can be produced from wind is indeed enough to carry out most of functions that we use fossil fuel for. Just think of how many investments can be cost effective in long run like wind power. Wind is free of charge and is generally available in all parts of the world. Even though the velocity of the wind varies, it will always be available. It is very environmental friendly and people should embrace this idea especially at this hard moments where all parts of the world are experiencing the impact of environmental depletion and more so the ozone layer. It is important for us to understand that at no given time will wind impact negatively on the planet. Some of the examples of wind energy include windmills and sail boats. Some countries have already embraced this technology and Egypt and Canada are good examples
Economists usually advocates for efficient and economical use of available resources. Many are a time when we face challenges in disposing biodegradable materials that normally arises from the food we use, unused parts from the food like peelings and also the unwanted trash that we get as a result from our actions like mowing the grass. The use of biofuel will create job employment since no company can survive without human resource. When compared with fossil fuel, it is friendlier to the environment since it is made from biodegradable material thus posing less strain to the environment. Since all countries can afford to make biofuel, it will make countries to reduce their over dependency on countries that export fossil fuel thereby creating room for saving great sum of money that could have been used in buying and importing fossil fuel. Researchers have found use biofuel to be safe since it does not bring about acid rains, it is ozone friendly, and releases less carbons thus minimizing the green house effect which is currently a major threat to the world. Some of biofuel includes ethanol and bio diesel.
In a nut shell, it is the high time that we appreciated what the Mother Nature has always had for us. We have for many years suffered from our own action and deeds and since we have chance to change world to be a better place, we need not to waste time but rather embrace change and be ready to live with it. Human population is not reducing and owing to the fact that we need even our grand children to live in a safe environment, it is time to start investing in alternative sources of energy that will leave the world a better place for the future generation.
