2010 was a very good year for Kia in the UK; the young car company smashed its previous sales record by reaching 56,114 units. In achieving this record Kia also broke its market share record, its current market share stands at 2.8%.

Kia is only a handful of car manufacturers to have come out of the recession in good shape, its range of new models, build quality and seven year warranty has made all Kia models very popular and in demand. Kia’s seven year fully transferable warranty shook the automotive industry and set a new standard for the established manufactures to reach and beat.

The reliability and build quality of new Kias was highlighted by the fact that its market share in the retail and personal sector grew to 4.1%. People buying cars for personal use have grown to trust Kia, its sold reliability has installed confidence in consumers, and of course the seven year warranty provides peace of mind.

Sales Director Yaser Shabsogh said: “2010 has been another astounding year for Kia and its dealers – despite the ending of the Government-backed scrappage scheme in the spring. It is clear that good value and quality products have bucked the trend and that has allowed us to pass 2009’s record total of 50,636 vehicles by a very strong margin.”
