Valentine’s Day to remember
It’s that time of the year where everything around us is red, the most romantic day of the year, Valentine’s Day. It’s the one day of the year where your partner spoils you without wanting anything in return.
Every year on Valentine’s Day I find a red rose on my pillow as I open my eyes in the morning, followed by breakfast in bed. He would then cook me lunch as well as take me out for dinner, ending our date with a late night movie.
This year, everything was very different, when I woke in the morning there wasn’t a rose on my pillow, I didn’t even get my breakfast in bed. So I stumbled out of bed feeling sad, dragged myself to the bathroom to find a perfectly wrapped present in the sink. With excitement, I ripped opened the present to find a basket of face care products.
As I was walking down the stairs, the delicious aroma of fried food made me very hungry. I walked in to the kitchen to find both of our breakfasts ready on the table with a red rose and a small box in the centre of the table.
When i saw the small box, my first thought was that he bought me a ring but I was wrong. I opened the box to find a pair of earrings but they were absolutely beautiful, so I didn’t care that it wasn’t a ring. After we had our breakfast, I was told to get ready as he was taking me out but it’s a surprise.
As we got in the car, he blindfolded my eyes so I couldn’t guess where he’s taking me before we got there. Finally we were there, we parked up, all I could hear was people talking but I could also hear the sound of flowing water. I opened my eyes to find us standing on a huge ship about to start our day cruise of London.
