WWE Royal Rumble 2011 Live Stream pick Off On Sunday, January 30
On Sunday, January 30, 2011 comes the WWE Royal Rumble 2011 edition. This is considered one of the four major Pay-Per-View events of the year for World Wrestling Entertainment, and rightfully so. The winning superstar in the main event match goes on to headline Wrestlemania 27 which is in just a few short months.
Only four matches are scheduled, as of this report on the Royal Rumble. They include a World Heavyweight Title match with Edge defending against Dolph Ziggler; a WWE Championship match with The Miz defending against Randy Orton; and Natalya defending her Divas Championship against Lay-Cool.
Early predictions seem to favor all of the champions in these matches. That would keep the belts on the current champions heading into Wrestlemania 27.
Sky Sports reports that the main event will include 40 participants instead of the usual 30. That main event match is the Royal Rumble, a match in which competitors enter the ring in random timed intervals.
Opponents are tossed over the top rope out to the floor until one man remains in the ring as the winner of the match. He goes on to get a title match at Wrestlemania, either for the WWE or World Heavyweight Championship. There are also some Royal Rumble 2011 spoilers which have recently hit the internet, so fans who prefer a good surprise at WWE events should tune out now.
According to an article on Bleacher Report, there will be a big surprise return to the Rumble match from Triple H, but it’s unknown if he will be the big winner of the event. Of course, this will excite many fans and disappoint others.
Triple H is the son-in-law of WWE CEO Vince McMahon and seems to get a lot of favoritism, when it comes to title shots and Wrestlemania main event matches. Still, this news will be welcomed by members of the WWE Universe anxious to see “The Game” return to action!
As for a predicted winner, since this match contains 40 wrestlers, so here are a handful of superstars who have a serious shot at winning the match. They would be in no particular order: John Cena, CM Punk, Alberto Del Rio and Wade Barrett.
Cena is the only previous winner of the bunch but has had recent promo time with champion The Miz. CM Punk and Wade Barrett are each leaders of malicious factions on Raw and Smackdown, with the intent of capturing major WWE gold.
Alberto Del Rio has been pushed heavily by WWE and seems destined to win the gold at some point. He may be a smart choice to win the match and head to Wrestlemania as Edge’s opposition for the World Heavyweight Title.
Several other spoilers for the Rumble have been reported and speculated on at WrestlingInc.com. These include the possibility that former TNA Knockout, Awesome Kong will show up during the Divas Championship match and also that two WWE legends will be a part of the Royal Rumble.
This could include anyone from Sgt. Slaughter to Jerry Lawler to Ricky “The Dragon” Steamboat. Could be quite an exciting match to witness, though, for fans in attendance or watching at home on TV!
