Candle type decorative lamps energy star testing
All of us are aware of the dearth that we are soon going to face because of less availability of energy resources. With the introduction of power saving equipments, we can now participate in saving energy and hence keeping the environment healthy, clean and green. with our power saving lamps and bulbs you get an assurance of quality as we made them pass through various tests that enable them to offer the kind of efficiency and output we promise to our customers. Energy saver lights retained National Voluntary Laboratory Accreditation (NVLAP) to test and verify the performance of their candle type decorative lamps over several criteria to ensure its efficiency. Tests Performed on the products included:
Lamp Power (Watts): The power of the bulbs was calculated by using the formula Lumens/watt (Based on initial lumen data). In this test 10 units of fluorescent light bulbs were taken. Out of which 5 units were base up and the rest were base down except when the use and position of the candle lamps is restricted. All the 10 sample bulbs were tested in a restricted position.
1,000-hour Lumen maintenance: This test is conducted to test the samples for average lumen output and it must come out to be greater than 90% of initial (100 hour) lumen output @ 1000 hours of rated life. It is ensured than no more than 2 samples can have a lumen output measurement of less than 85%. The 10 samples units had 5 units were base up and the rest were base down except when the use and position of the candle lamps is restricted. All the 10 samples were tested in a restricted position.
Lumen Maintenance at 40% of Rated Life: the test is carried on all the 10 sample light bulbs out of which had 5 units were base up and the rest were base down except when the use and position of the light bulbs is restricted. All the 10 sample bulbs were tested in a restricted position. The test is conducted to evaluate the average rated life which must be must be greater than 80% of initial (100-hour) rating at 40% of model’s rated life (Per ANSIC78.5, Clause 4.10), and no more than 3 individual samples can have a lumen output less than 75%.
Products included in testing: 10 candle type decorative bulbs
