Stay Safe While Flying
Have you ever been flying in an airplane and wish to take out your cell phone to call your friend? It is evident that you cannot do that but what if you were flying in the air and so was your good friend? Now you can talk with them in the air, with a good old aviation headset and the radio of your plane. If you own your own individual plane you will need a radio and a headset to use in the air. It is also very important to stay safe in the air by using gear such as an emergency parachute or a helicopter helmet.
Staying safe anywhere that you are traveling is extremely important, but in the air you can increase the safety standard. Airplanes, though they are designed well, are not the safest mode of transportation available. Let’s just say that it is much secure to stay on the ground. It is very vital to have some specific gear available while you are either flying the vehicle or sitting as a traveler. Some items that you might want to include are paper bags, extra parachute or emergency jumping devices, an extra set of gear for an unexpected passenger, and maybe even a first aid kit for urgent situation use.
Flying a plane, or being the one who is steering is not too particularly difficult, but it can be if you are distracted. This is why it is recommended that no more than two people enter a two to three passenger plane. The more people the more risk could ensue for everyone involved. When flying, it is key to keep your eyes peeled for other planes as well as birds. There have been numerous incidents in the air involving birds who cannot be in charge of themselves like the airplane can. The skies should usually be relatively clear but if they are not then it is very important to stay alert.
An additional important thing to remember is weather. Anytime that there is rain or snow or high winds it is probably not a great idea to take out your little plane into the heavy weather. The bad weather can ultimately take control of your vehicle and you may have to make an emergency landing which can damage anybody’s trip. Bad weather may seem simple to travel through by the professionals but you have to recognize that your personal plane is about ten to fifteen times smaller than a seven-forty-seven flying device. It is better to just stay out of the bad weather overall.
Flying is a great sport and hobby but there are certain precautions that one must take before flying out in the open by themselves, or with a passenger. The best thing to prepare for their flight is to pack the plane with all of the necessary emergency arrangements and then just remember to fly safely. No one should ever fly without a pilot license, so do not let your friends fly your plane without any supervision. Be cautious, but still have fun!
Connor Sullivan recently studied aviation headsets in conjunction with his work. He studied a new helicopter helmet to assess the strength of a new type of helmet.
