Laptop reviews – How to write them
I am a hardcore tech freak and I have lots of blogs on the Web which are based on nothing but gadgets. Amongst all the gadgets I like notebooks the most because I carry one around with me all the time and it helps me a lot in day to day tasks. I update my blogs through notebooks while traveling and I get lost in my laptop when ever I am using it. Looking at my blogs, people have been asking me about how I write laptop reviews. I am here to give you ticks of the trade, use them if you are thinking about starting your own blog on laptop reviews.
A frank opinion – Don’t hesitate to crush the laptop if it is really bad and on the other hand, shower praises on it, if it is a really good one. Give a frank opinion and don’t think that the manufacturers of the laptop are reading your blog somewhere and may cry if you give a critical review of the laptop. Also, try to keep your mind calm. Don’t let your mood affect the review. If you do this, you are a bad reviewer. I myself used to do this; I had a fight with my neighbor and then few moments later, a high end laptop landed in my office for review. I was totally mad and took out my anger on the laptop. After a few days I realized what I had done and had to go back to edit the review.
Check the hardware: In laptop reviews, this is the most important part. You have to go through the specs and then list them on your blog. There are some people who don’t even bother to read the whole review. They are just after the specs that are offered by the manufacturer. After you mention all the specs, just go ahead and write if the hardware indeed performs according to your expectations. I do processor challenging tests and if there is a gaming laptop, I play recent games to see how the computer fares. Don’t forget to write the frame rate per second (fps) for the games
Give your verdict: Wrap up laptop reviews by giving a final verdict, whether it is worth purchasing the laptop or not. Again, don’t get too emotional here. If you think that the laptop is not good, just say so.
