Re arranging Flowers on Valentine Day
Flowers are the traditional Valentines Day gift, and for some inexplicable reason, they only appear to be sent to women, on most occasions. Not only have flowers also been offered to men throughout history, but they are also a mood booster for both men and women alike. Research has shown that flowers, Valentines flowers
or otherwise –have an uplifting effect on everyone.
Of course, there’s also the whole gender association with flowers that continues to be bandied around. Well, don’t fall for it! There are many men out there who would be overjoyed to receive a Valentines day flowers delivery, but unfortunately there are also many guys who would be a little bit reluctant in admitting it. However, if the gift is from the heart, and even if you’ve never sent a Valentines Day flowers delivery to them before, there’s a first time for everything, so why not make it this year?
Tastes vary depending from person to person, regardless of whether they are men or women. You could check for hints as to what particular flowers they like, but that might be a little on the obvious side, if you are planning a surprise. Of course, you could always go on what colours they like –it’s a first date requisite for many couples to ask what their favourite things are, so why not try green roses as valentines flowers, or even –if you do get particularly stuck, the colours of their favourite football team? At least then, the Valentines Day flowers delivery you send will have a subtle message behind it, one which says you care enough to send a gift relating to something your partner is interested in.
Pastel colours are quickly filtering through to the sphere of masculinity –slowly but surely. Recent years have seen a glut of men’s clothing and accessories on the market which have included pastel colours, but depending on the recipient, you may want to go for something a little darker. Tropical valentines flowers tend to look a little less delicate and colours such as plum or chocolate are also a little better suited to a guy who might prefer his flowers to look a little more “manly” (It is possible!). Birds of paradise and sunflowers are also popular choices, as they are bold, colourful and beautiful, without being too feminine.
If you suspect that your Valentines Day flowers delivery could be something your partner may feel a little surprised by, steer clear from sending them to the workplace. Sending them to his apartment or house is a nice alternative. He receives them in private, you can gauge his reaction, and depending on whether he likes them or not, you can add a bouquet of flowers to your itinerary of “presents for special occasions”.
In addition to valentines flowers, you can also send gifts such as chocolate or cookies –whatever the message is though, make it personal, and as always, it will be the thought that counts.
