Internet Marketing Tips – How to Improve Your Sales and Profit Part 3
One the first 2 installments of this article series, I talked about building your website and generating traffic. In this one, I wish to focus more on converting your visitors to potential clients. Here’s what you need to do:
- List building campaign. Once you’re successful in getting your potential buyers to visit your website, the next and the most important step is to convince them to subscribe to your newsletters. You will need to do this so you will not have a hard time getting in touch with these people especially when you have promotions to announce and when you want to make follow-ups. Send your visitors to your squeeze page. Then, create a list of the benefits that they can expect once they give their email address to you. For example, you can tell them that you’ll be sending them newsletters that contain expert tips every week and that they’ll be the first ones to know when you’re running some promotions. It will also help if you promise them not to share their contact information to anyone (these people hate spammers) and that if you tell them that they can opt-out at any time (no questions asked!).
- Make use of autoresponders. You need to fulfill the promises that you made to your subscribers. You need to send them newsletters every week. To make this task a lot easier, I suggest that you automate it. Write as many newsletters as possible and upload them to your autoresponders. With just few clicks on your mouse, you can schedule their distribution. Through this, you can be assured that your potential buyers will get your newsletters every week even if you suddenly can’t access your computer or even when you’re traveling.
- Make follow-ups. Online users usually forget things almost instantly. Remind them of their interest over your products and services by sending them follow-up emails at least twice a month. Each time you do this, ensure that you highlight the benefits that your products or services can offer. It will also help if you compare it to similar items available in the online arena to make these people see how your offerings are far better compare to your competitors’. Also, don’t forget to create a sense of urgency. Offer them discounts or freebies but only for a limited time. This will help in getting them to respond to your call to action right away.
- Offer low-end products first. Here’s the truth; even if you earned the trust and respect of your target audience, there’s no way that they’ll spend thousands of dollars on their first purchase. So, I recommend that you offer them with low-end products first. If you’re just like me who’s selling info-based products, you can start by offering your prospects with $10 ebook or $15 audio products. If they’re impressed with their first purchase, I can guarantee you that they’ll come back for more.
