Most people who own motorbikes consider organic brake pads as the best brake pads that you can get. On the other hand, a lot of motorcyclists prefer another type of brake pads for their motorbikes. These are the sinter brake pads. When you consider the performance of sinter brake pads, they are very efficient and effective. Because these pads consist of quite a high metal content, they tend to heat up and run to a high temperature in just a matter of minutes. Their effectiveness lies in the fact that more kinetic energy is converted to heat in such a short time. In the same vein, the friction levels of sinter brake pads are very high, a property that holds true even in wet weather conditions. The performance of these brake pads is said to be efficient because the incidence of fading brake performance even in extreme conditions is relatively low. It is important to mention that though many people take these as the best brake pads, they are prone to corrosion which of course is a big problem. Their brake fluid needs to be inspected at frequent intervals and the disc surface of the brake is often affected negatively by the high temperatures. They are also unsuitable for every kind of brake disc.
