Curing Acne Will Require A Careful Examination Of How You Wash

If you want clear, healthy skin, then you need to have a regular washing habit. You probably knew that, but not everyone knows the dangers of over-washing. If curing acne is your goal, then you need to strike a balance with your washing: not too much, not too little.

Many reports have indicated that when you use too many treatments (creams and medications, etc.) on your face, you are causing trouble for your skin. When you wash 5-6 times a day, and then coat your skin with several more creams and treatments, you will upset the proper balance and will damage your skin. You will likely even cause your skin to be too oily or dry.

The urge to take care of your face is a good one. After all, nobody actually wants to have acne troubles, right? Still, you don’t need to throw your money away on countless chemical and other products just to keep your skin clean. Rather, less is more: use mild soap and some warm water.

For some people the warm water/soap routine won’t be enough. If your condition is serious enough that this is true for you, you should investigate some solutions that have proven effective. To worsen the problem, there are so many products lining store shelves it can be hard to find one that works in your case. Asking your dermatologist may be the best way to start, since everyone’s different.

That being true, keeping it simple is really the best approach to curing acne. You should wash your face once at least with a little soap and warm water, and just pat dry with a soft, clean towel. If your doctor prescribes some medication that you need to take for your case, then limit your facial washing to one time a day.

When you wash your face too much – even with soap and water – you create a problem for the skin. See, when you rub your face with this simple solution and over-do it, the lesions on your face can explode. Sounds gross, but then what happens is more infection, and a bigger acne problem.

Often, doctors will write out a prescription of some cream or even an oral treatment that may cure the acne over time. This is great since you won’t be using too many other solutions on your face and won’t be causing skin irritation through too much friction. Curing acne is really much simpler if you educate yourself on what’s too much and what’s just right.
