Every Blogger Can Make a Blog Sticky
Building a blog of your own is really easy and because there are platforms like WordPress and Blogger out there, anybody with a positive attitude and a little bit of free time can be up and running in just a minute or two. It doesn’t matter which target market you have chosen; blogs are a great place to put content for any niche and adding one to your business can only help. However, if you want real blogging success, you need to send targeted traffic to your site. If you don’t have anybody visiting your site, you won’t have any readers for your blog. If your blog isn’t sticky you won’t be able to turn your “drive by” traffic into regular readers.
Every blog these days has a ‘subscribe’ option, where the readers can subscribe through RSS to receive updates from the blog. If you really want to get more people to subscribe to the content on your blog, make sure that the option is obviously displayed on your site. If you hide your subscription button away or make it small, nobody will know that it is there! Be bold and upfront when it comes to showcasing your blog’s subscription option. When you do this you will see an automatic rise in the number of subscriptions to your blog which also helps your “stick” rate raise as well. Make sure your blog’s readers know about all of the subscription options that are available to them. Even though RSS is a really popular way to subscribe to a blog, lots of people still don’t know about it. This means that it is your responsibility to educate your readers about RSS subscriptions and the different readers they can use to stay updated on your blog. The more you educate your readers about the subscription option on your blog, the higher will be the chance that they subscribe to your blog. One way to do this is to write a post or a page about what RSS actually is and how it works. Just be creative and you will see lots of different options for things to try when you need to educate your readers.
Make your blog interactive! This is what will make a reader stay around and have a good time while reading your blog. The interactivity doesn’t have to limit itself to your comments section–you can have polls, contests, competitions, give a quiz, etc. The more interactivity you have on your blog, the more likely it will be that people stick around.
All in all, this article helps us understand the truth behind blog stickiness and how it allows you to outshine the crowd. There are lots of things you can do to get this if you are okay with being creative. No matter what niche you’ve chosen for your blog, as long as you have a growing and loyal readership level, you’ll be able to get a lot from your blog every day that you work on it. If you are able to create a strong foundation for your blog we don’t see why you shouldn’t be able to enjoy a growing reader level and stick rate.
