When conventional becomes detrimental

Whether you are battling the mrsa virus, lymes disease, or even needing candida treatment, antibiotics are usually the first response. That does not mean they are the only answer. Studies are being released with a heightened frequency and urgency regarding the overuse and adverse reactions to antibiotics. Homeopathic, organic, mineral, and holistic treatments are increasing in popularity, as well as effectiveness.

The MRSA virus, which is commonly known in the medical field as “the flesh-eating virus” is practically unfazed by traditional antibiotics. What was once only contracted by people who worked in nursing homes and hospitals is now being diagnosed in populations whom are not associated with these settings. While there are a select few antibiotics that have somewhat of a positive effect against fighting off this sickness, they are only intravenous and will require hospitalization, and are not guaranteed to work. Not only will you not be assured the treatment will be beneficial, you will be confined to a setting that harbors the illness you have, and completely weaken your immune system’s ability to fight it. While antibiotics do have some practical and effective applications, there is no denying they wipe out all bacteria in your body – both good and bad.

When dealing with Lyme’s disease, you may be too weak to even speak to your doctor about effective treatments. Lyme’s disease causes joint aching (especially of the knees), impaired memory, changes in moods and sleeping cycles, difficulty concentrating, heart rhythm irregularities, and even facial palsy or neuropathy. Since the beginning of your diagnosis you have probably run the gamut of antibiotic regimens with little to no results. If you did get some positive results, they may have been short lived, as another episode of your disease reared its head and bucked your system again. There may come a time when you will need to research alternative medicines and speak with your doctor regarding building your immune system back up after the antibiotics have torn it down.

While yeast has its uses (bread, donuts, and even beer), it wreaks havoc on your body when it isn’t contained within the balance of the other bacteria prevalent and necessary for a healthy immune system. The symptoms of a yeast infection include, but are not limited to, memory erasing, hormonal imbalances, itchy skin, ears, or tongue, exhaustion, intense cravings for sweet foods, etc. Candida (the bacteria that has overgrown to cause a yeast infection) has immeasurable impact on your nervous, urinary, endocrine, reproductive, and muscular-skeletal systems. Left untreated, it can be eternally detrimental. Yeast infections are also one of the most wrongly diagnosed medical maladies encountered. And since doctors are trained to prescribe antibiotics as a fail-safe, you will most likely be given written instructions to take them when a doctor doesn’t know what is wrong with you. Antibiotics actually feed yeast causing it to grow instead of reining it in. So what your doctor is hoping will help, will immensely harm this infection and make it infinitely worse.

No matter if you are waging war against the MRSA virus, Candida infection, or even Lyme’s disease, antibiotics may be the conventional and go-to “cure” from most doctors, it may not always be the right answer. It may even be detrimental.
