A lot of people get on the internet and start out pitching almost anything to make money fast and can’t understand why after a few months or even years, they haven’t made much money or sometimes haven’t made anything at all, then they get frustrated and quit. But it doesn’t have to be that way. As a matter of fact it can be just the opposite. But, there are a few things you will have to have lined up in order to succeed. One is that you will have to have excellent products and services.
There is nothing easier than selling a product or service that you believe in, something that you use or would use. Did you ever own a car that ran great for years. You naturally want to tell others about it and would recommend it to everyone you know, especially when they are in the market for one. The same is true when talking about the products and services that you offer. If you believe in it then it becomes more of a passion and doesn’t really require any selling. As a matter of fact you are just informing people of what you think is good and, if you can back it up with positive facts all the better.
In Internet Marketing and direct selling, they always talk about getting involved with only 1 or 2 primary products in an area that you really have a passion for. Even though there are literally thousands of good products to choose from. You will find it more beneficial if you become the expert on only a couple. Besides, if you are a Network Marketer you will want to become a leader and work with your team to train them how to duplicate sales. It is much easier if you work with a limited number of products and services.
One of the best ways to find out about what product or service to promote is to join a local group of Marketers to find out what they suggest. Many times you will find marketers that have been in the business for a long time and can tell you what they have had success with. Another way to find out about good products and services is to go onto the internet, find out who the industry leaders are and find out what they are working on. Again, you will have to do your due diligence, but it will help you remove all of the hyped up products out there and find a good one.
Once you find the right product or service, then it’s time to focus on the company. There are 5 main points to consider when looking for a primary company.
1- Is the company well capitalized or does it have financial backing?
2- Have the owners been in business for a long period of time and do they have a track record of documented success?
3- What is the compensation plan like?
4- Do you need to go on Auto-ship?
5- Who is your sponsor and what is their record of success?
Remember – that having a good product or service is only one facet of succeeding in network marketing. Don’t pitch your product or service but instead build a relationship with your customers first and eventually inform them on what you do and what you offer. Building your company takes time, some money and consistent effort. But you can succeed.
