Tidbits about Gymnastics Clipart
Woman’s Gymnastic has amazed girls through out the decades. I remember as a young girl my first experience with gymnastics was when I was 6 years old and my father taught me how to do a front handspring. I didn’t need to learn this for gymnastics but for dance class. That first aerial was the start of my absolute favorite sport while growing up. I was extremely fortunate, I began my love for gymnastics in the later part of the 60’s early 70’s. I was 8 years old when I first saw Cathy Rigby perform, she stole the hearts of all young girls and a lot of gymnast wanna be’s. She was beautiful to watch. She brought something special to woman’s gymnastics. I had a scrap book starting at that time. I would get gymnastic pictures from any magazine that I could find them and pasted them in my album. Today is simple because you can find all gymnastics clipart on the the web.
The 70’s was a very amazing decade for gymnastics. At the 1972 Olympics we were introduced to Russian gymnast Olga Korbut. She was amazing. She had a glowing smile and a small very flexible body. Her flexibility gave her advantage on the beam and floor exercise. She knew how to work the audience with her gymnastics. I was 9 years old and that was the first time I had watched someone lift their leg up and reach the back of their head. A trick I eventually learned. You can locate gymnastics clipart for Olga Korbut also on the internet.
Nadia Comaneci graced us at the 76 Olympics. Nadia was from Romania. Nadia was 14 years old when she did gymnastics in summer Olympics in Montreal. I remember watching her. I was 13 at the time and I fell in love. My scrap album was getting full of as many pictures as I could locate. They were exhibited in newpapers and teen books. Gymnastics clipart is at our disposal with today’s technology. Its so easy to type in the name and it pulls up the gymnast that you are looking for.
I would have given anything to have had gymnastics clipart when I was a little girl. I did ok with the resources that were available to me. I would be curious to know what had happened to my old scrap book. To be able to look through it and see all the photos of Cathy Rigby, Olga Korbut, and Nadia Comaneci. Not just the way you can look at them on the internet but to see them the way I did when I seen sport of gymnastics when I was 8 years old. Today I watch my 5 year old daughter tumble around in the park doing cartwheels and trying to learn the front aerial. This brings fabulous childhood memories that will last me for the rest of my life and hopefully the rest of hers. Today is the day to start on her gymnastics scrap album. She will have it a lot easier with the gymnastics clipart that she can access off the internet.
