Shri Namramuni: The Revolutionist in Jain Culture.
Shri Namramuni Maharajsaheb the youngest Jain saint of Gondal Sampraday is one of those Jain Saints who has tried to bring lots of changes in the society and has been a stand out motivator in spreading the culture among the people and explaining the importance of humanity and equality.
Namramuni is young but this is never reflected in the decision making. Shri Namramuni is very much confident and more than confident in his decision making and Namramuni sees to it that his decision is not causing any kind of inconvenience to any kind of people. Namramuni Maharajsaheb used the advantage of being young and used modern way techniques to attract more youngsters to contribute for the community.
Namramuni Maharajsaheb decided to take diksha at a very small age and he became the Namramuni Maharajsaheb at just 21 years of age and for that he went to Jodhpur for religious studies and learnt 32 Agams (Jain Granths) and their meanings. All this qualities of Shri Namramuni Maharajsaheb clearly reflects in his way of talking and approach in his life.
He after being such a big personality is very much kind and humble and is a very strong follower of Humanity. Namramuni even after being a Jain Saint has no problems with other religions and is a strong believer in unity. Namramuni Maharajsaheb has never disrespected rather he believes in the policy of respecting each other in every situation.
Namramuni Maharajsaheb a revolutionary Jain Monk chose to construct PAWANDHAM at Kandivali instead of Jain Temple and it is the address of all the religion – SARVADHARAM; in future he would like to construct more such conceptual Temples, the place will be open for all the religion and it will not be restricted only to Jain community.
Such a wonderful thought by a great personality; he felt the need of coming together of all religions for the unity and development of the country and so for this he has taken such a wonderful step and loving each other equally is the prime responsibility of human being and Namramuni Maharaj’s this step might turn out to be a landmark event in the history of Jainism.
The people of the country this way would create new wave of love and respect to the members of the Jain community. So Pawandham was one of those wise decisions of Shri Namramuni Maharajsaheb which would increase the unity, love and Harmony among the people of the country.
I wish that there are many more people like Namramuni Maharajsaheb in this world who will take such nice concepts to build up peace and harmony in the society by focusing on concepts like Humanity and Unity. Long Live Namramuni Maharajsaheb.
